Towson High Student Boosts Traffic Calming Effort Near School

At least four traffic-calming speed humps will be installed on Aigburth Road in Towson, Maryland this spring, in large part due to the effort of one Towson High School sophomore, who gave the project a much-needed push forward out of a sense of civic duty. Campus RainWorks Challenge

EPA’s Campus RainWorks Challenge asks student teams to design innovative green infrastructure for their campus. This year teams will incorporate climate resiliency and consider community engagement in their green infrastructure designs for stormwater management. EPA is calling for college and university students to form teams with a faculty advisor and compete in either the master plan or demonstration project categories. Entries due December 16. EPA announced the fifth annual Campus RainWorks Challenge prize competition that asks student teams to design green infrastructure for their campus. ​EPA announced the winners of its Campus RainWorks Challenge, a design competition created to engage college and university students in reinventing our water infrastructure.
