The Glebe (Australia) Point Road Trial Parklet Program backed up what has been found in other jurisdictions: the community loves parklets and businesses want them. The trial provided evidence of increased business activity, including one cafe reporting a 15 per cent increase in sales during the four months the parklet was installed outside. The parklets span downtown and MainStrasse, connecting the two areas. It’s about creating destinations and activities.
