Community Assistance in Conservation and Outdoor Recreation Program

​The National Park Service (NPS) announced funding to support recreation and conservation projects through its Rails, Trails, and Conservation Assistance program. Through the RTCA program, NPS helps organize, strategize, build public participation and partnerships, and implement a conservation and/or recreation project that is important to your community. EDA Regional Innovation Strategies Program

Under the EDA Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship’s Regional Innovation Strategies (RIS) Program, EDA awards grants that build regional capacity to translate innovations into jobs through proof-of-concept and commercialization assistance to innovators and entrepreneurs and through operational support for organizations that provide essential early-stage risk capital to innovators and entrepreneurs. North American Wetlands Conservation Act Grants

North American Wetlands Conservation Act (NAWCA) grants increase bird populations and wetland habitat, while supporting local economies and American traditions such as hunting, fishing, birdwatching, family farming, and cattle ranching. Wetlands protected by NAWCA provide valuable benefits such as flood control, reducing coastal erosion, improving water and air quality, and recharging ground water. Surface Transportation System Funding Alternative

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) issued a Notice of Funding Opportunity for the FY17 Surface Transportation System Funding Alternatives (STSFA) program. The purpose of the STSFA program is to provide states with grants to demonstrate user-based alternative revenue mechanisms that utilize a user fee structure to maintain the long-term solvency of the Federal Highway Trust Fund.
